How to use the tallier
The tallier is a multi-counter board for scorekeeping, inventory spot-checks, classroom votes, workout reps, and any task where you need several running totals at once. Counts stay in your browser’s local storage so they survive refreshes on the same device.
Create and manage counters
Add a counter with a clear name. Use + and − to change the count by one. Reset a single counter or reset all when a new round starts. Sort by score or name to keep large boards readable. The total sums every counter.
Tally mark visualization
Enable tally marks to show traditional five-bar gate groups. Toggle marks off for a compact numeric list on smaller screens.
Privacy of your counts
Counter names and values are stored locally with localStorage. They are not synced to a Talverlator account. Clearing site data erases saved counters.
Examples
Game night scores. Create one counter per player. Increment on each point. Sort by score descending, then Reset All between rounds.
Classroom exit tickets. Name counters for answer choices A–D and increment while students respond.
FAQ
Can I sync counters across phones? Not automatically. Each browser profile keeps its own localStorage.
